New York, New York

I am heading off to NYC tomorrow! Whilst it's exciting, it does means there will be no blog posts for a week :( Nevertheless, I have a plan to keep you all updated on my time in the U.S.

As many of you know, for my third and final year of university, the journalism department has organised a class trip to the Big Apple.
We get picked up at 7am tomorrow and travel to London by coach. Then we fly in the evening, arriving in JFK at the equivalent to 1:30am UK time.
It's been a bit of a roller-coaster couple of weeks in terms of deadline stress, so the hype for this trip has been rather low. There's just been too much for everyone to think about to allow room to be super excited.
BUT, now that we've got our pounds changed into dollars, our adapter plugs packed and our sweets ready for the plane - the excitement levels have risen and I am so ready to go.

I've packed my trusty Faith In Nature products into travel-sized bottles, (admittedly gone a bit aloe vera crazy) and I've sorted my entertainment bag for the long, long journey...
My clothes are folded, rolled and stuffed into every corner of my suitcase and I've (hopefully) got everything I need to spend five days in New York.
We've got day trips to Rockefeller center, the Empire State Building and Ellis Island planned, as well as a group dinner and a basketball game booked.
Of course, I will be putting my journalism skills to practice and piecing together some work whilst I'm there. Unfortunately, I won't be able to blog 'live from New York,' so there will be a week long break in my posts.
However, when I get back is when the blog gets interesting...
I have decided to put together a vlog of my time in New York so I can share my experience with you all. I plan to annoy the heck out of my friends by filming constantly, so I can show off little me in the big wide world!
You may experience a quiet week on the blogging front, but I can promise you some top quality video of my time in the Big City when I return.

Until then, I am going to sit back and take advantage of the in-flight entertainment that Norwegian Air has to offer (including Bad Times at the El Royale) and enjoy the NYC playlist I've put together on Spotify (open it up via the hyperlink and have a boogie).
Whilst the trip is slap bang in the middle of some really important work, I think my stress levels are considering it a welcome break.
Check out the playlist and comment if you have any song recommendations or last-minute travel tips.
U.K, I'll see you in a week!
Bye for now - E. x
Have a laugh at the first ever vlog I made back in first year!
