Gearing up for tomorrow's main Kids on Politics piece, in time for Theresa May's latest call on the Brexit debate, my littlest of sisters (who is nearly six years old) gave me a bite-sized review of our Prime Minister vs the U.S President.
With a little bit of personal life, distraction and forgetfulness thrown in for good measure, it doesn't get more honest than this.

Do you know who Theresa May is?
Kind of
Who?
Um, actually I don’t know, I really don’t know.
Have you seen her before?
On the telly, I saw her house on the telly.
What does her house look like?

Do you know what number she lives at?
Definitely not.
What kind of things does she do on telly?
Talks - about Donald Trump.
And who’s Donald Trump?
He writes stuff.
Donald Trump is the President of America, and Theresa May is our Prime Minister. She’s quite an important lady who has to make a lot of our countries decisions-
Guess what – Your work is called Bra. And guess what, you know when people go to your work, some people do agree with Donald Trump; some people that go to your work and maybe try on bras. Some people don’t agree with Donald Trump.
Some people agree with Theresa May, some people don’t. People that agree with Donald Trump don’t agree with Theresa May.
Do you agree with Theresa May?
I probably do – I don’t know why, she’s probably the one that’s trying to help people.
Donald Trump is probably... I don’t know what he’s doing, but he’s trying to do something to…
I can’t remember actually.
Watch this space tomorrow for a nine-year old's perspective on the Brexit vote, and what we should be working towards in our future relationship with the EU.
More tomorrow from the biggest of the little ones! Keep an eye out 👀
Great stuff Ella. Love your little sisters. Keep it coming.
